Teacher thank yous
With Mini Blooms set ofcourse. I added little dots to the centres of the flowers.

Ahoy matey
I made the background patterned paper panel with stamps, mists, washi, etc.

Silhouette cover plates! Yarned shapes
One of my favourite things to do with the Silhouette is to cut out a 'cover plate' and layer things around it. This cut design is from a Studio calico class (pop off the page 2).
It's very tactile, and best of all, flat for mailing!
It reminds me of those games where you have to count the number of triangles in a given picture. I tried my hand at 'drawing' with a mist nozzle under the sentiment.
Supplies; Stamps - Fillable frames (PTI), Paper - PP (SC), Orange (SU), white, Other - Silhouette, mist, silk ribbon, red embroidery thread.

Elena's baby
I have always loved Elena's masking/stamping abilities. Here's a card I CASEd from her; let me tell you, it took awhile to get the masks just right!
Supplies; Stamps - Bundle of love (PTI), Envelope pattern (HA), Stella & Rose (MME), Paper - Aqua mist, cream, Hawaiian shores, Other - copics.
Labels:
baby,
bundle of love,

Ugly
Now this is going to sound absurd, but bear with me. I have wanted to try an embellishment heavy/gender neutral/lots going on/messy/misted/Studio calico type card. I love the look of them, they are very different from my usual style, and sort of artsy. ...and sort of ugly! I don't know how it's possible to love something and think it's ugly at the same time, but there you go. Isn't it funny what we are drawn to sometimes?
Supplies; Stamps - POP2 class set (SC), Paper - SC 3 x 4 PP, white, Aqua mist, Other - wood veneer sentiment, mist (passport MH), vellum speechbubble, kraft tape (BG).

Lisa's baby set
The minute I saw these cards, I knew I had to CASE them. I loved how the curve of the mat stack matched the scallop border.
I made a rainbow of colours.
I made some minor adjustments for supplies I had; stamped polka dots instead of patterned paper, no stamping on higher panel, different ribbon treatments, white as well as kraft bases, and once I stamped a few of the squiggles I decided I liked it better without them.
I never tire of stamping white ink on coloured cardstock. It makes such an impact.
Supplies; Stamps - Little bitty bird, Mat stack 2, Polka dot basics 2, Paper - Spring moss, Lemon tart, Sweet blush, Lavender moon, Aqua mist, white, kraft, Other - Mat stack 2 die, circle punch, Large scallop border die, copics, ribbon in colours matching cardstock, buttons.
Party TYs
For my daughters' birthday.
I used a small $3 stamp set from Prima, coloured in with copics, and added mist drops.
Each one came out slightly different because I'm still experimenting with making splatters.
Supplies; Stamps - Celebrate Valentines Jack and Jill (Prima), YOF: LOTV (sentiment), Paper - white, Other - copics, Teal glimmer mist (HS).

Occassion-less notes
And playing with impression folders. I made the Big Shot sandwich very tight, and worried that I might break it, but it squeezed through after all.

PTI blog hop - touch of gold
Man oh man, did this card ever give me trouble! I was inspired by Japanese chiyogami paper and wanted to create something like it. At first I wanted to use Mini blooms, but that was more gold than I wanted. Then I had trouble arranging the flowers 'just so'. It's still not quite how I envisioned it, but I finally gave up.
I found the perfect floral in an unlikely place - Strawberry patch set! I embossed the outline large flower in gold and filled in with copic, embossed the solid small flower in clear, and stamped the large solid flower in versamark and white. I added white dots with a pen, and some sparkly accents to the clusters.
I couldn't find a nice match for the sentiment so I stamped once in Berry sorbet, and overtop in Wet cement.
Enjoy the rest of the hop!
Supplies; Stamps - Strawberry patch, Mini blooms (sentiment), Paper - Sweet blush, white, Other - Gold embossing powder, clear embossing powder, white gel pen, silver gel pen.

Quick chevrons
Sometimes a card needs to be made RIGHT NOW, and there are only 5 minutes to work. This was one such occasion. I took patterned paper, ran an impression plate over it, quickly stamped a sentiment and outlined it with glue and added glitter. Done!
Supplies; Stamps - Think Big, Paper - Canyon clay, SU PP, Other - Linen impression plate, glitter.

Ranuncului

Labels:

PTI blog hop - Bouquet builder #2

I don't normally do separate posts, but this one took some muscle, so I thought it deserved it. :) After stamping the flowers I needed something for the white space, and I found the perfect 'dot cluster' in the Strawberry patch set.
Supplies; Stamps - Mini blooms, Bountiful banners, Strawberry patch (PTI), Paper - white, Other - Bountiful banners dies.
Labels:
Bountiful banners,
Mini blooms,

More strawberries
Because the snow will stop, right?
I overstamped the sentiment strip of yellow cardstock with one of the patch images. It lined up pretty well without much effort. I added white gel pen dots to the strawberries as I didn't line up the outline/solid stamps perfectly.
Supplies; Stamps - Strawberry patch, Mat stack 2 (sentiment), Paper - Spring moss, Harvest gold, white, Other - Edgers die, Pure poppy buttons, silk ribbon.

Moxi Fab World challenge: Washi tape
Play along here!
The number washi is mounted on similar coloured cardstock for a muted look. A little glitter adjacent to it for further distraction. No need to emphasize numbers on a birthday! ;)
Supplies; Stamps - Watercolor wonder, Think big favorites (PTI), Paper - Simply chartreuse, kraft, Other - Washi (SC), glitter, fishtail flags dies (MFT), white embossing powder.
Moxi Fab World challenge: Emphasize the negative
Play along here!
I set the main panel towards one bottom edge of the card. Had fun choosing the patterned papers for the negative die cuts.
Supplies; Stamps - Hello sunshine (PTI), Paper - Studio calico PPs, white, Other - Heart to heart 6 dies (PTI), Fishtail flags dies (MFT), pink embroidery floss.

Supplies; Stamps - Tiny tags, Paper - SU PP, white, Other - Onesie die, In bloom impression plate, Tiny tags die, seam binding.
Sweet life #2
Similar to one I made just recently, but this time added impression plate on top and some distress ink around edges. I like how the flourish from the Sweet life set matches the sentiment ones.

My first card to go 'out of bounds' beyond the side of the card;
Supplies; Stamps - Hands of time, Think big favorites, Mini blooms (sentiment), Paper - MME patterned paper, Soft stone, cream, Other - Mat stack 5 die.

Supplies; Stamps - Mini Blooms, Paper - Aqua mist, kraft, cream.
