PTI blog hop - country meadow picnic

This month's PTI blog hop has this image as inspiration:

Immediately I wanted to create something with lots of cream, spring moss and touches of red/pink.

First I stamped the sprig images in versamark and heat embossed, then I loaded up distress inks on a large acrylic block, saturated it with a mister, and then layed it on top of the embossed images.  The patterned paper is my favourite sheet from Botanical by Prima.

Supplies; Stamps - Larger than life, Tag-its #5, Mat stack 1 (sentiment), Paper - cream, Botanical PP (Prima), kraft, Other - Larger than life die, doily details die, Berry sorbet satin ribbon, Antique linen and Shabby shutters distress inks, lace, versamark, clear embossing powder.

Twin's shower

In expectation of my friend's baby shower.

I used the first patterned paper I ever bought -  a retired SU that has a nice heavy weight and texture to it.  I coloured in the 'girl' bear with copics.

Supplies; Stamps - Baby button bits, Everyday button bits, Banner builder, Paper - Soft stone, Parisian breeze PP (SU), white, Other - Tin types impression plate, copics, buttons.

Sponged poppies

I wanted to try an emboss resist card with this Hero Arts stamp, so I stamped text, stamped the poppy image with versamark and heat embossed with clear powder, then sponged distress ink into the unembossed flower areas.  The border happened by accident after sponging - I was going to trim the image, but liked the result.

I so desperately wanted to put a ribbon on the left side, but it was just too much with the small text and flourishes.  I went a little overboard with the flourishes I think.  Ooops, oh well.  Maybe I'll add a double ended banner for the sentiment at the bottom instead.  And a button. So much for my plans for a flat card.  :)

Supplies; Stamps - Poppy background (HA), Fancy flourishes (PTI), BB: Text style, Paper - Spring moss, cream, Other - distress inks, versamark, clear embossing powder.

Twins!

One of my very bestest friends is expecting her first baby - and it's twins!  Boy and girl!  Super exciting, and as I want to make the perfect cards for her, I figured I should start trying some different ones;

I got the idea from the amazing Betsy here.   Oh how I wish I had a sewing machine.  I used a SU set for the elephant images, but all else is PTI.

Girl - lemon tart c/s, lemon tart bitty dot PP, sweet blush c/s, doily details and a wee heart (from little bitty bird).

Boy - spring moss c/s, spring moss bitty dot PP, spring rain c/s, label basics.

3 min card

The dandellion puffs are heat embossed, but that's as fancy as this gets.  :)  It's a 4bar size.

Supples; Stamps - Botanical Silhouettes, Paper - kraft, Other - cream embroidery floss.

Kinda moody

That's the feeling this card makes me think of.  :)

I started off with Curio PP and built everything around it.  I wanted the stamped flowers to come out brown, but the ink turned black on the image and I think it probably turned out better as a result.  I actually decapitated the butterfly a bit as it was just a little too big.  The ribbon is the shade of Pinefeather - not one I thought I'd reach for so soon.

Supplies - Stamps - Delightful dahlia, Envelope pattern, Fancy flourishes, BB: text, Mat stack 1 (sentiments), Paper - Curio PP (Basic grey), Spring moss, Lemon tart, kraft, Other - Love lives here dies, Tag sale die, Delightful dahlia dies (for masking), Tea dye distress ink (TH), Flowers (Prima), Lemon tart button, seam binding (matches Pinefeather).

PTI blog hop - Melon dahlias

The minute I saw the challange photo, I was drawn to the floral pillow.  Although this is such an awesome photo, I've already got two other ideas for future cards!

And here's my card -

A one layer copic card.  The details got washed out a little when I edited the lighting, so here's an unedited version.

I embossed the dahlias is white, then coloured in with R00, R02, R20, YG91 and LOTS of blender pen.  The sentiment is one of my all times most used - from Giga guidelines.

Supplies; Stamps - Delightful dahlias, Giga guidelines (sentiment), Paper - white, Other - copics, white embossing powder.

Palate cleanse

I've been doing a lot of layered cards lately, so I needed something CAS to clear my mind and eye.

I used the strip from Mat stack 1 collection, in two inks, sometimes stamping off once in between.

And a little label popped up.

Supplies; Stamps - Mat stack 1 collection, Label basics, Tag-its 1 (sentiment), Paper - white and kraft.

Flower bouquet

With my new dies!  I had fun arranging the flowers 'just so'.  The flowers were coloured in with markers so I could add different shades (mainly on the leaves).

Supplies; Stamps - Larger than life, Postmarks, Paper - White, Bitty dot spring moss PP, Botanicals (Prima), Soft stone, Other - Larger than life dies, Mat stack 4 die, SU markers, pink seam binding ribbon.
